Andreu World International Design Contest 2026 | Free Open Call for Furniture Design
Are you passionate about sustainable design and the circular economy? Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the prestigious Andreu World International Design Contest invites both students and seasoned professionals globally to submit innovative furniture designs.
Coinciding with Andreu World’s 70th anniversary, this special edition challenges participants to create forward-thinking seating or table designs that merge creativity, high functionality, and deep respect for the environment.
Theme & Submission Guidelines
This year’s contest focuses entirely on the circular economy. The submitted projects must strongly reflect Andreu World’s core values: timeless design, innovation, sustainability, and responsible manufacturing.
- Design Brief: Participants may submit a design for a seat and/or a table.
- Key Criteria: The design must positively impact people and the planet, reflecting strong industrial culture and social commitment.
- Physical Submission: Please note that physical models of your design, along with all supporting project materials, must be shipped directly to the Andreu World headquarters before the planned deadline.
Prizes and Awards
With no entry fee required, this is one of the longest-running and most respected specialized design competitions in the world. The top visionary designs will be awarded:
- 1st Prize: 5,000 €
- 2nd Prize: 2,500 €
- Special Mentions: The jury will also select 3 additional outstanding designs for special recognition.
(Note: Results are expected to be announced after 29 September 2026).
